The Quintessential Advocate (The Essential Blog)

Greetings to All Readers,

It gives me immense pleasure to announce that I will soon be introducing a blog site titled ‘The Quintessential Advocate’, where my purpose is to support and help young lawyers, legal consultants and, most importantly, the entrepreneurs of our country (anyone whoever is interested) to inculcate essential skills in litigation not only in understanding law but also the effective procedures to achieve results.

I had not done any apprenticeship under a Senior Advocate, instead, I laid down my own rules of practice to achieve the best results, and I succeeded. I relentlessly tried to be the quintessential advocate, but I am yet to achieve the goal I had planned for myself in my dreams. The guidance provided in this new blog site is from my own observations and experiences that shall be shared for the development of all. Despite experiencing a huge satisfaction that I have managed to put into practice a maximum number of advices rendered in this blog, I feel that this continuous endeavour is to be followed by all upcoming and young lawyers in India to enhance their quality of advocacy.

Advocacy is to provide an effective solution with honesty, something that the elders of the society in the olden days used to provide to their community and children. Hence, in order to become an advocate, one has to be honest first, without bias. The second most important aspect is that advocacy is not an item or commodity that can be marketed. It is considered a noble profession but that doesn’t mean that one has to practice advocacy at no cost, only that it should not be conducted like an enterprise.

In 2009, I published a blog by the name ‘drtGuru’ in support of sick industries and to guide them. Then in 2015, I even published a magazine called ‘Debt Equity’. Both of these were discontinued by me for several reasons. But after the overwhelming success of ‘Prem’s World’, my original idea has been haunting me to indulge in my mission once again, and I am confident that I can contribute considerably. The blog site is under construction by Jugular Social Media, the technical team without whose support I could have not lived unto my dreams.

The Prologue of the Blog, ‘The Quintessential Advocate’ shall be as hereunder:

Prologue

In the year 2018, the number of lawyers in India was estimated to be 2 million, out of which approximately 50% are fake and non-practising lawyers. On scrutiny of various reports, it is found that only 10% of practising lawyers belong to the top layer, who make between Rupees fifty lakh to a crore per annum, and out of this top layer, only a minuscule per cent of them make crores of rupees in a single lawsuit. On the flip side, there is a huge percentage of lawyers who earn around Rupees five lakh to ten lakh, and in the last category, many lawyers earn less than Rupees two lakh per annum. Delhi has one lawyer for almost every 300 citizens and the annual growth of lawyers in India is 4%, on average. The lawyer profession is chosen by default by the children of successful lawyers, but mostly it is those who cannot afford higher studies, either due to the lack of competitiveness or due to the lack of economic means.

This blog is for the guidance of those who are in the middle and the last categories, who have untapped talent. Anyone can emerge as a Quintessential Advocate if they have the will to learn and rise up to be an inspiration to their family. This blog is also for those middle-aged men and women who feel that they had missed the bus at the prime of their careers but who have the urge to prove their mettle. This category has the fundamental qualities explained in the later chapters and can easily pole-vault you to success. All they need is to identify a law college managed by a private institution that readily admits candidates of all ages and accomplishes their Law degree.

In fact, a person who is a ‘nobody’ can also become the Quintessential Advocate by following the basic principles enumerated in this blog. A litigant can be considered very lucky if they come across a very responsible and reliable lawyer who understands their problem and works towards their relief. I had indeed turned from an Entrepreneur to a Lawyer because I could hardly find one within my budget. There is no dearth of lawyers in India as per the above statistics, but just imagine if most of them would easily come into the ‘The Quintessential Advocate’ category, the legal remedies could be achieved with lesser pain. Is it not that all proved quality control practices of the Germans and Japanese proved that the final product from a factory depends on the raw material and skilled workers employed? Just like so, strong fundamentals in legal practices will result in a healthy fraternity.

Congratulations to you once again and I repeat that "You do it once you are determined". Only opposite person has to have confidence in you and it's universal fact that the 'time' is essence of any quality production.

In fact it reminds me that both, 'drtGURU' and 'Debt Equity' were too good and well received. It saw abrupt end and it could be beyond reach. With this blog you are repaying the society and in particular amateur Advocates and also the public at large, who would love to be in the right side of law. Your blogs can become Blessings in disguise.

It would be further more advantageous if by any means an open two way communication is created. …
